Note | Charonia rubicunda (Perry, 1811), Curtis Island, Kermadec Islands, New Zealand, near reef in 22 m depth, ex coll. Te papa Museum, Wellington, live taken specimen shell. Taken by research team from the Te Papa Museum, Wellington, in November 1981 and part of the museum deposit collection and later sold to Meyer collection for fund raising, a genuine live taken specimen shell with original operculum on, a piece of scientific importance, very beautiful and all natural condition. |
