Item | # 0001907648 | Family | Cypraeidae | Name | Zoila eludens f. delicatura - RARE DELICATURA. , (Chandler & Du Ross, 1997) |
Size | 53.3 mm |
Locality | Peak Island, Exmouth Gulf. |
Note | On offer is one of the most RARE forms of Zoila found today the Zoila eludens f. delicatura. Diver collected in 35M off Peak Island, N.W. Australia. This isolated location being in the N.W. of the state and many miles to sea, makes any dive venture most difficult and expensive. On top of this weather always plays a great part in the success of any venture, hence the availability of this form is very RARE. On offer is a lovely mature specimen with great colour, high distinct margins and nice mantle line. The narrowing into the anterior canal, the lack of a flared base and the deep purple/blue interior colour are all characteristics separating delicatura from eludens. Graded FINE++ with a growth line above the frosted columellar margin well camouflaged in its dark dorsal colour. A very mature and heavy specimen which presents very well. A RARE opportunity not available very often. |
