Note | A superb, very broad and solid specimen of this beautiful colour form: rich yellowish cream ground, traversed by widely spaced narrow axial bands of chestnut. Chocolate apertural interior. Heavy for size, with markedly thickened outer apertural lip, indicative of hypermaturity. One negligible growth disruption to columellar side. Perfect outer apertural lip and siphonal canal. Size: 42.4 mm (length). Grading: F+++. Data: Clairview, Queensland, Australia; upon sand substrate; 3-5 m; dived; 1992. |
