Note | A beautiful specimen of this now virtually impossible to obtain form. Rich pink ground; large, free-form orange-tan maculae; cinnamon terminals; yellowish cream to pure white ventrum. Dorsal ridging. One typical sand grain upon dorsum. The specimen was collected by legendary Zoila diver Andrew Edinger, and the original Edinger label accompanies specimen, which reads, ?Zoila venusta f. ?thatcheri?. Rare Northern form?. Size: 63.3 mm (length). Grading: F+++. Data: South of Cervantes, Western Australia, Australia; upon limestone reef substrate, upon sponge in cave; 5-10 m; dived; 21 January 2011. |
