Typical growth disruptions, present in virtually every specimen. Fully mature, completely natural outer apertural lip in an excellent state of preservation. Ultra-clean, with none of the oft-seen erosion and substrate discoloration. Retention of enormous original operculum. Now mainly from old collections. For the Naticidae specialist. Size: 64.5 mm (longest dimension). Grading: F++; w/o. Data: Onslow Bay, Jacksonville, North Carolina, USA; upon sand substrate; dredged; 6-8 m; 1976. |
