Item | # 0001999202 | Family | Cypraeidae | Name | Zoila friendii friendii - MOST AMAZING COLOUR. , (Gray, 1831) |
Size | 82.3 mm |
Locality | Bunbury, SW.Australia. |
Note | I have not seen another friendii friendii like this before. Regardless of the smooth straight line growth line (see image), not a damaged growthline, this specimen is truly amazing. Being very avoid of dorsal markings other than the very strong embryonic lateral bands. Also the specimen is even more unique with the cream/white low margins with some tiger spotting. Turning the shell over, you would expect a white base but no, it exhibits a mature heavy dark base with some terminal white colour.
Truly a very special and unique specimen, graded FINE++ with the growth line and some very soft line in a specimen with this dorsal colouring and a couple of silt grains. Diver collected in 14M. on reef ledge, Bunbury, S.W.Australia. |
