Most examples of this endemic eastern Australian species exhibit extensive damage to the delicate varical fronds, upon account of a rough habitat, predation, and trawl damage. Ultra-clean with no encrustation or erosion. A damicornis for the connoiseur. Size: 50.7 mm (length). Grading: F+++; w/o. Data: Off Cape Moreton, Queensland, Australia; upon sand substrate; 60-120 m; trawled; 1982. Provenance: JES private collection; Melbourne/London. |
