Note | An outstanding specimen of this ultra-rare, extreme deep-water, endemic New Zealand species. Collected from the deep-sea floor, at a depth of 1,000 m. Chatham Rise forms part of the Zealandia continent, running from the South Island of New Zealand, to the Chatham Islands to the East. Beautiful subtle pinkish white. No substrate discoloration. Undoubtedly lacking in many Cassidae collections. An opportunity for the advanced Cassidae specialist. Size: 41.5 mm (length). Grading: F++++.
