Size | 76.5 mm |
Locality | Ningaloo, N.W. Cape, N.W. Aust |
Note | Another one for the Conidae collectors. A specimen of Conus striatus taken from the Western Australian coast off Ningaloo N.W. Australia. This species is particularly uncommon here, so I would think few conidae collectors would have such a specimen off Western Australia. Quite LARGE at 76.5mm and great quality with no erosion and with natural growth steps throughout the main body swirl. Has some fine chipping near anterior canal. Diver collected under coral slab, in 8M. off Ningaloo Beach, N.W. Australia. Provenance of my parents and sisters collection, circa 1980's.
