Note | On offer is a particularly uncommon specimen of friendii taken in DEEPWATER in Geographe Bay, Busselton. This specimen is the second specimen I had from this region, the first was offered in the last auction. they were taken well outside the shallow water population that exists in the 5M to 8M. reefs off Peppermint Beach. At 87.0mm it is LARGE and of coarse much larger than the inshore population. It also exhibits a much broader body. These specimens are particularly RARE and are really never offered. Graded FINE++ with a high quality dorsum, but with a micro chip in the posterior canal and a reasonable internal chip in the anterior canal, but not affecting the shape of the canal. Exhibits great colours on the dorsum and margins with black spotting. Diver collected on sponge on rock ledge in 35M, Geographe Bay, Busselton, S.W. Australia. ALL REFECTIONS ARE FROM THE CAMERA LIGHTING. |
