Name | Amoria necopinata - RARE, GOOD QUALITY , VERY RARE. (Darragh, T.A., 1983) |
Size | 31.5 mm |
Locality | Capricorn Channel, Queensland. |
Note | On offer is a specimen of an extremely rare and very uncommon species of Amoria necopinata. The Industry term, "only from old collections" certainly does apply in this case. This large specimen at 31.5mm is in great condition with a complete lip and columellar tail, full lustre and only an extremely sodt growth step on the underside and a very fine natural pimple on the small second body swirl stops it from being a perfect specimen. These fault are small and the specimen presents beautifully. Most advanced volute collections may not have this species represented. A great opportunity to obtain a missing rare species. Trawled in the Capricorn Channel in 130M, 1997. |
