But this particular shell has SIX Prominet Plicae or Folds on the Columellar. Said to be very rare and uncommon., Fresh and very fresh, Spindle shaped shell. Shell thick. large and heavy. Anterior canal large and open. Operculum horny. Body whorl with broader callus. Columella bears four strong folds. Spires well elevated. Whorls with feebly developed shoulders. Surface spirally striated, more prominently near base. Ivory white covered with brown periostracum. Very beautiful and heavy specimen with thick and very hard Lip. Net 25 to 30 m. October 2019. |
