Note | This truly beautiful specimen was one of the very first live-collected examples to be found via SCUBA in deep-water. Collected in 1984, the specimen passed into the renowned collection of Gloria Hutchison, the long-time collector and pioneer South African dealer, who operated the famous 'Hutch's Den' shell shop in Natal, and the original 1984 Hutchison label accompanies the specimen. Thick, glassy, live-collected gloss, as fresh today as when collected three and a half decades ago. Rich creamy yellow, with pale tan dorsal markings. A piece of shell collecting history. Size: 19.4 mm (length). Grading: F++++. Data: False Bay, off Cape Peninsula, South Africa; upon reef substrate; 42 m; dived; 1984.
