Size | 32.2 mm |
Locality | Swains Reef, Queensland. |
Note | A rare species today. This specimen has the normal longitudinal coloured stripes down the specimen.
Perhaps fresh dead but with full columellar and parietal plait lustre. A species that has a flat dorsal surface finish unlike most volutes. These specimens were trawled during the peak of the Queensland trawl operations in the 1980's to 1990's, hence now obtainable only from old collections. One for the serious collectors whom wish the addition of a RARE species that is endemic to the famous volutidae state of Queensland. Trawled in 120M, in sand substrate off Swain Reefs, Queensland, Australia. |
