| Note | This is a true specimen of Zoila marginata marginata, a species that many collectors confuse with the marginata f. consueta. Firstly this generally deeper water species was the orginal species descripted by (Gaskoin in 1849). It was many years later that the generally more shallow water form marginata marginata f. consueta was described by (Biraghi in 1993). I used the word generally when referring to the water depth, as there is some overlap in depth and location. As the image depicts this species is much more ovula and petite with a higher profile than the consueta form. They are typically always pale in colour with often pink and orange margins and the base is normally considerably more flat. This specimen on offer has a soft pink dorsal background colour covers with beige/brown markings. The base is particularly white with few markings. Graded GEM- with the faintest of soft lines. Diver collected in 41M west, off Garden Island, Fremantle, W. Australia. ALL WHITE REFECTIONS ARE FROM THE CAMERA LIGHTING.
