Size | 79.16 mm |
Locality | Western Australia |
Note | Trawled by fishermen at 200m., off Carnarvon, Western Australia.
THIS IS A LARGE, INFLATED, HUMPBACK, HEAVY AND MATURE SHELL. WITH BLURRED LIGHT BROWN DOTS ON IVORY WHITE DORSAL BACKGROUND, LIGHT PEACH BASE AND DARKER PEACH COLORED EXTREMITIES. THIS IS A RARE, UNIQUE AND HARD TO FIND SHELL ESPECIALLY SHELLS WITHOUT CHIPS ON THE EXTREMITIES AS IT COMES FROM DEEP WATER BY FISHING TRAWLERS. SO THIS SHELL DOES NOT HAVE ANY CHIPS! THE SHELL HAS 2-3 SUPER MICRO IMPERFECTIONS - HARDLY VISIBLE WITHOUT MAGNIFICATION IF YOU WANT TO BE MORE SPECIFIC - THAT'S WHY i GRADED IT AS GEM- BUT IT CAN BE EASILY CONSIDERED GEM. FOR SPECIALISTS WHO APPRECIATE A SPECIAL SHELL WHEN THEY SEE ONE. |
