Note | A truly outstanding specimen, and the most beautiful suprasinum of the JES Collection. Atypical, mauritiana-like pattern of golden honey-tan lacunae, formed by a liberal deposition of ultra-dark reddish chestnut. Resplendent, ultra-high, ultra-thick gloss. Ultra-steep dorsal acclivity, creating a distinctly triangular outline when viewed in lateral profile. Characteristic solidity, with marked weight to size ratio. A suprasinum for the connoiosseur. Size: 53.1 mm (length). Grading: Gem. Data: Off Onslow, Western Australia, Australia; upon sand substrate, amongst sponges, seagrass and Pinna shells; 15 m; dived; 1991.
