| Note | Cute hesitata like andreyi found at night crawling in a sponge garden in 142 metres of water south of Augusta in November 2021. The shell has a pale cream tan dorsum and a china white base not unlike some hesitata in coloration. Heavy shell with perfect canals. Graded fine+++ due to two indentations on its anterior dorsum that the animal has healed by adding nacre. This is indicated by the green arrows in the dorsal photograph. It is probably the result of an old predication attempt by a octopus or fish. |
