| Note | Anse D´Arlet . Old collection . I can count by a full hand those golden musica i have seen over the last 39 years , as many years as those i take collecting shells . Do not conffuse with orange specimens since goldens are piercing yellow wich can show or not purple dashes . This one in particular is very glossy with orangish music lines and almost shows no pigmentation in lip ( observed it in couple of whitish specimens i handle in my private coll. ) . Defects seen under magnification : one flaw in nacre and slightly smoothened upper lip . At this rarity level i consider it to be secondary and reason why i did not give her a quality grade . Rarest coloration to V. musica are : whitish , goldens or red specimens . More pictures on request. |
