PERFECTION. Fully mature outer apertural lip. Exquisite colours: delicate apricot, pink, and orange, decorated with multitudinous pointillistic flecks of pale caramel, and sporadic maculations of yellowish ochre. Its locality now forms part of the Cape le Grand National Park, and no fresh specimens will be available in future. Now obtainable, (with increasing difficulty), only from the choicest old collections. An Austroharpa punctata for the connoisseur. Size: 33.4 mm (length). Grading: Gem. Data: Off Cape le Grand, Esperance, South Coast Region, Western Australia, Australia; upon sand substrate, at night; 36 m; dived; 1995. Provenance: JES private collection; Melbourne/London. |
