| Note | Most candida have blue grey banded dorsum but the occasional specimen exhibits a dark chevron pattern in addition. This specimen was collected from a orange elk horn sponge in 92 metres of water south of Salisbury Island to the east of Esperance. As can bee seen in the photos the shell has a dorsal growth interruption. Without this issue I would price the shell north on 2500 euro. |
