Very heavy classic andreyi ROV collected from 235 metres of water south of Augusta in January 2023. Tan dorsal patch with fine darker speckles and strong white mantle line. This gives the dorsum the appearance of a smiling face. This is something we see a lot with andreyi. China white base with apricot colored margins and dark brown siphon trim. Most would consider it a gem but I grade it Gem- to be conservative as the shell has some very low growth ripples that can be felt in proximity to it's mantle line. Gem-.
