Note | One nice (F+) and selected specimen of the very rare species Bostryx eremothauma. This is one of the most striking landsnails from Chile, having a carinated shell with an almost plane spire with a raised protoconch, and detached last whorls. This species has never been found alive, and this is a selected shell with nice aperture, protoconch and whorls, and with a still shiny aperture. It can be still be cleaned further, with care. This is one of the most amazing Chilean landsnails, a very rare species found in a very arid restricted distribution in northern Chile. |
