| Note | Washed up from cyclone Gabrielle, 15th Feb 2023. Coromandel scallops are renowned as being the most colourful and patterned of all the NZ scallops. Still there is only one coloured one for every 100 white. With the NZ scallop fisheries totally closed the only way to get these is through wash ups from storms like Gabrielle which has been called the storm of the century. |
