Note | One nice and large specimen of Cumingia mutica, washed ashore alive at Playa Mansa, Caldera, northern Chile. This is an uncommon species, but sometimes they are washed ashore after tidal surges or storms. This particular specimen has an adult thick shell and it retains part of its soft parts dry inside the valves, which remain conjoined. |
