| Note | Three very nice and selected specimens of Ostrea chilensis. This oyster species is native to Chile and New Zealand, and in Chile it is found in a few locations only in the Island of Chiloé, in the southern part of the country. This species has been heavily exploited, and currently it is very hard to obtain. These three selected specimens are in very good conditions, they were collected alive by fishermen in shallow water and they come from their northernmost locality in the country. |
