| Note | This specimen particularly is looking like a real adult. Superb thick massive incredible lip in top conditions. The rest of the body is just intact and in perfect coditions. Really clear banded all around with darker background color as usual for this fresh cream colors. The best of the best for the species!!! Apex absent otherwise Museum quality!! F+++. One of my favourite big shells in the pacific with so unique form and sculpture compare with all Tonas species and the biggest of the Maleas species growing over 270mm. They are most night active , rarely are hunting during the day. Hart to find in the day because they are most complete buried. Superb piece!!! Found buried in sand under huge platforms about 5m deep. Near La Vena, Los Angeles Locos, Bahia de Tenacatita, Jalisco, Mexico. January 2022. Collected by Eduardo Amador Moreno. Value: 46-52 euros. MEXICO PACIFIC. |
