| Note | This lovely specimen of rosea aliwalensis was collected before the Natal Marine Park was designated and before it was named a new subspecies of rosea. Graded F+++/GEM- with one silt grain and a few nacre windows on the base. An early specimen in the conchological history of this beautiful subspecies. Provenance; my own personal collection. Diver collected in 35M off Park Rynie, Natal, South Africa. Original label with specimen. ALL THE WHITE REFLECTIONS AND DULL AREAS ARE FROM THE CAMERA LIGHTING. |
