| Note | THE MOST EXTENDED LIP YOU WILL SEE WOOOW !!!! Superb WIDE inner lip, just amazing !!Large specimen with 192.7mm form apex to siphon lip!! Very robust and elgant WIDE form!! Searching for these mysterious creatures for years there are some rare cases among them. It seems that most people know only the same typical white Malea ringens, but there is variability in colors, designs, shapes and sizes. I have found dwarf populations and others where individuals are giants. Here is the incredibly rare one with an extremely extended lip, I have found maybe 10 like this in my entire career. This one here is in super nice conditions, the lip intact, the dorsum with a creamy white color, clearly wavy and marked lines, Very elevated and short spire form, the spire with a scar between, the apex almost intact. It has some small natural details that are not really detracting so much beauty. Some Natural chip and grow marks between but fantastic piece of art. For advancer collectors. Large size nowadays. The best of the best. F+++. One of my favourite big shells in the pacific with so unique form and sculpture compare with all Tonas species and the biggest of the Maleas species. They are most night active , They are rarely hunting during the day. Hart to find in the day because they are most complete buried. Superb piece!!! Found buried in sand under huge platforms about 5m deep. Near La Vena, Los Angeles Locos, Bahia de Tenacatita, Jalisco, Mexico. March 2023. Collected by Eduardo Amador Moreno.
