| Note | Nicely-colored specimen, with a shade of chestnut brown in the aperture and two different shades of brown in the dorsum.
The body whorl is in good shape, aside from the typical growth marks this species gets. The siphonal canal has some very small chips, shown in the pictures, though these don’t detract from the overall beauty of the shell.
This shell was collected by a local fisherman, in a rocky terrain, while diving at 13m deep, 25 miles off the Celestún Harbor. Found back in April of 2023. Starting price for all my Cowries is €1, so you decide the selling price. |
