| Note | This specimen has an amazing pattern of abundant white dots all over the body whorl, and a beautiful dark brown background color. It also has a solid brown aperture, which is somewhat unusual. My favorite specimen from this lot. It also has a respectable size of 116.10mm, which makes for a great combination of beautiful colors and good size. Condition is fairly nice, though not flawless, as it has a micro chip in the shorter end of the siphonal canal, and a very discreet small scar around the upper right end of the body whorl, all shown in the pictures. This one makes for a great display piece.
This shell was collected by a local fisherman, in a rocky terrain, while diving at 13m deep, 25 miles off the Celestún Harbor. Found back in April of 2023. Starting price for all my Cowries is €1, so you decide the selling price. |
