Note | THE LONGEST SPIRE EVER!!! Rare spire and normally absent in this species. One of the best specimens from my private collection and exclusively for you. High nodules, Perfect perio, and extremely rare complete spire and apex. Still for cleaning. The best of the best Vasum caestus. Really impressive! This species are walking all day looking for food in depths of 5-15m about. Between the mud and seagrass. Normally they looks like stones, They are really hard to identify under the water. This here is with super thick periostracum, this species particularly is always with absent apex, several scars and erosion . This is one of the best I have ever collected with so long spire and in good conditions. Gem. Found on yellowish thick sand with mud about 8-10m deep. Bahia de Cuastecomates, Jalisco, Mexico. December 2022. Collected by Eduardo Amador Moreno. Value: 50-60 euro. MEXICO PACIFIC. |
