| Note | Classic and outstanding specimen. Beautiful shades of garnet and versions of terracotta red highlight this heavy weight deep water trophy volute. The specimen is solid and exhibits distinct undulated longitudinal lines throughout the body whorl, a highly sought after characteristic. The natural lip is perfect with a standout orange colored trim. A superb collector's specimen. Taken by shrimp net at 100 meters in the Sulu Sea, Philippines in the mid-80's. Procured from older collection. Normal and acceptable growth folds seen toward the thick natural lip with a minor subtle growth fold on the spire. Grade: GEM minus. |
