Note | A distinctive and smaller glossy volute displaying a remarkable undulating and radiating pattern often mistaken for the similar appearing A. undulata. The shell has a thin durable and flawless natural lip, perfect body whorl, spire and protoconch. An exceptional example of the species, only found in a small limited geographical area and getting rarer to find by the day. The specimen was taken from a sand and coral rubble bottom on a late afternoon at two meters off Barrow Island, Western Australia in the 80's by a free diver. Grade: GEM. |
