| Note | Classic Australian narrowly ovate volute with a wonderful spotting pattern highlighted with light red ochre blotching. This solid specimen is highlighted by pronounced shoulder knobs (tubercles) on the spire, strong columella plates and a perfect thick and beveled lip. A beautiful balance of color and form. The peristica was trawled and taken live at 120-150 meters on muddy bottom off Cooktown, northern Queensland, Australia in the 90's. Grade: GEM. |
