Note | Hyper-glazed darker inflated Zoila that exhibits outstanding form with a striking display of deep colors, pattern and size. Presenting with a splendid black/brown caramel infused mottled dorsal pattern complimented by intense integrated maculae and a thick glossy nacre. Intense spotting on the lateral walls that wrap over the margin extending onto the base. Visually attractive. The specimen has lovely dark/clay brown base colors with thick flawless margins and extensive tuberculation. The shell shows a 5 mm inner channel chip on the anterior extremity, columellar side (arrow). Also evident, a few small glazed over subnacre scratches on mid-dorsum, labral side as seen in the central image and an assortment of dorsal wobbles. Scuba diver harvested off Albany, Western Australia at 40 meters in 2012 while moving across a rock ledge. Grade: F++/F+++. |
