| Note | Lovely colored and strongly spotted classic Hawaiian endemic. Definitive orange dorsal line, beautiful pattern and golden primary coloring on the dorsum highlight this attractive specimen. The additional rich primary colors of blue/slate grey, shades of gold and white complement the dorsum and overall impressive visual impact of this schilderiana. The shell is heavy, thick nacred and in remarkably exceptional condition.Taken by Scuba diver on night dive at 20-25 meters while coasting over a coral reef off West Shore, Oahu, Hawaii in 2010. Present are a few negligible blemishes on the extremity ramps. Acquired from older collection. Grade: GEM minus. |
