| Note | Distinctive and highly rostrate mappa from the Indonesia population. Super glossy, thick nacre with a crisp pattern etched into the pink/flesh toned dorsum and . Shades of deep scarlet/ruby/crimson red highlight both extremities. The beautiful maroon red fringed base is complemented by perfect teeth, this mappa is a beauty. The specimen was taken by Scuba diver off Sumbawa, Telik Saleh Sea, Indonesia at 10 Meters in 2016.
The panerythra displays a glazed over and healed previously damaged anterior extremity on the labral side and two small hard to see subnacre algae spots on the dorsum. NOTE: This specimen glows neon electric red under fluorescent lighting. Grade F++/F+++. |
