Note | Highly inflated, solid, semi-rostrate, hyper-mature specimen with a faint dorsal line. Large fully glossed specimen, with desirable apricot/peach hued patterning, including a impressive pair of distinctive and highly coveted spots on the anterior ramp. Excellent size to weight ratio, impressive symmetry and inflated form. The gastropod was captured off the Great Australian Bight, Ceduna, South Australia on sand substrate at 140-160 meters in 2002. The shell presents a flawless dorsum, siphons and base. Included are typical clear transverse dorsal growth striations (ridges) as seen in the center image. The specimen is hard to flaw. Grade: GEM. |
