NoteSurprisingly dark pattern, extraordinarily heavy and welcomingly glossy coating characterize this attractive mappa. Strong orange hues complement the aperture with perfect teeth and flawless base. High weight/size ratio, like a little stone. The elongate specimen shows a strong red glow everywhere under fluorescence light exposure (black light). Diver harvested at 2 meters under ledge rock at night in the Nosy Mitsio Archipelago, Madagascar in 2015. One subnacre wobble on the dorsum, columellar side toward the anterior extremity. Grade: GEM minus.
