| Note | Hyper-mature, hyper-pigmented and an exceptionally thick, heavy specimen from the black Stansbury population. The specimen is highlighted by an ultra-dark dorsal black color veil. The atrata features super thick nacre and crystal-like gloss with excellent symmetrical form and balance. Excellent weight/size ratio with a beautiful base pattern. The specimen displays perfect siphons, base and hyper-black lateral walls. An ultimate specimen of the species, a true crème de la crème for the discriminate collector. NOTE: The white spots on the base are white growth inclusions and not blemishes or defects. Diver taken using Scuba at 8-15 meters in 2014 off Stansbury, Yorke Peninsula, South Australia. Harvested from a limestone reel while feeding on orange sponges. Grade: GEM. |
