| Note | Large, inflated and hyper-calloused member of this striking Hawaiian species. These definitely grow bigger in Hawaii. Brilliant color and reticulated pattern. Heavy shell, with thick calloused margins and beautiful dark spotting extending over the margins and peripheral base. A solid shell with a strong weight/size ratio. The specimen has perfect extremities and dorsum. Discovered off Kaena Point. Oahu, Hawaii on night dive by Scuba diver while moving across a cave wall at 20-25 meters. There are evident some mini wobbles on the posterior ramp. Grade: GEM minus. |
