| Note | Excellent example of smaller sized mappa subpopulation found in the Andaman Sea. Typical dorsal pattern mirrored with high gloss and excellent spotting on the lateral walls complemented by a bright orange aperture. A welcome addition for the mappa specialist. The specimen was collected in 2018 and trawled at 80+ meters off Raya Islands,Thailand. The specimen shows a mini-chip on the anterior extremity, inside channel/columellar side. Grade: F+++. |
