| Note | Dark specimen with balanced form from the Red Sea southern population. The exusta displays excellent nacre gloss, moderate inflation, heavy callousing, perfect extremities and base. The exusta shows tuberculation of the thick lateral wall margins and strong coloration, typical of the species. Collected by Scuba diver on night dive at 8-10 meters off Dahlak Kebir Island, Eritrea, East Africa in 2014. There is evident a transverse glazed subnacre concavity on the mid-lateral/ dorsum, labral side (arrow). Grade: F+++. |
