| Note | GOLDEN COLOR FORM with superb conditions for the species. Great lip, big size with 74mm, seldom seen apex and great spire in this size, beautiful base, scales, nodules, extended lip and original operculum. Elegant and beautiful scales and high nodules. Some pin holes between some scales and body around and some ships in scales not really detracting this beauty. Really seldom seen species even with these conditions. This particular species is always found attached to large stones and apparently feeds more at night. Devourer of marine worms! Their shells are generally always accompanied by many types of calcareous organisms and algae making them invisible in many cases and very very hard to clean. You need to have a very good eye to find them, and they are rare species. Very rarely do you find good specimens with impressive conditions. This is the perfect example to appreciate the beauty of a Neorapana muricata with awesome scales, not perfect at all but much better than everage. Uncommon species nowadays in any conditions. F++ - F+++. Found attached between stones with mud about 6m deep. Near Escollera el Eden, Colima, Mexico. February 2023: Value: 68-72 euros. MEXICO PACIFIC |
