| Note | Super large beauty from west Mexico with substantial weight, maturity and strong color. The shell features a high spire covered with subsutural spines on two complete different shoulder levels. The specimen features a perfect apex, spire and thick natural lip. Lifted from sand/rock bottom at 5-7 meters by free-diver off La Paz, Baja California Sur, Mexico in 8/1977. Acquired from old collection. There is evident short growth fold interruption on the dorsal body whorl and a small chip on the anterior lip proximal to the siphonal notch. Grade: F+++. |
