| Note | Glossy and excellent example of this distinctive and uncommon deep water cone. This large specimen is a wonderful example of the species, in spite of a few imperfections. Taken by tangle net 100-120 meters off Balut Island, Mindanao, Philippines in 2006. The specimen shows some light growth folds, an axial linear pattern disruption as seen in the images, wear of the protoconch and a palpable micro-nick on the anterior natural lip. Grade: F++/F+++. |
