Note | Super elegant, hyper-glossy and exceedingly inflated example of this difficult to obtain Australian trawled species. Wonderful and significant lateral wall spotting, light dorsal patterning and thick impressive nacre gloss. The shell shows flawless extremities, with a thick groove and callous nodules on the anterior extremity. There is some tuberculation of the margins. Trawled at 120-150 meters by a prawn boat northeast of Fitzroy Reef, Queensland, Australia in 12/2000. Grade: GEM minus. |
