Note | Deep chestnut brown specimen with harmonious display of varices and standout dark transitional brown pigmented body whorl that flows into the multi-toned brown hued wing terminals. Subtle shades of light brown with dark brown/coffee rays of color highlight the body whorl impact. The shell shows an intact spire, anterior siphonal canal, aperture lip and does exhibit a worn protoconch. Collected by Scuba diver at 15-20 meters on rocks between kelps off Channel Islands, California in 2008. Grade: F+++. |
