| Note | Spectacular specimen framed by pitch black lateral walls and siphons. The fresh collected shell shows intense black maculae and blotching complementing the primary hued gray/blue/egg-shell white humped dorsum. Heavier shell with a perfect black base, flawless extremities, modest rostration and intense nacre gloss. A real showpiece. Taken by Scuba diver Callum Edinger off Starvation Bay, West Australia 1/2024 while munching on a Chondrilla sponge at 6-8 meters. Original data slip from Callum included. Palpable light growth fold on the mid-posterior ramp. Grade: GEM minus. |
